Mona Bayati’s work is a celebration of life and beauty that exists inbthe culture of her homeland. In her paintings and mix media pieces Mona brings about symbols and ceremonial icons and beauty elements that are deeply integrated in her ancestral heritage as a form of textile design, miniatures or architecture in Iran. Mona uses different techniques as well as different materials like glitter, pompoms, string and paint to express this connection. Mona’s memory of storytelling and the beauty of nature and cultural diversity of different tribes in Iran is her on going motivation. Mona’s work is a celebration of this diversity. Her journey in art is ever unfolding and evolving as her understanding of these concepts deepens.
